Mazenod Youth Group

Our Mazenod Youth Group meets at 6pm on every third Thursday of each month at the Community Centre. It is open to all youth between 15-25 years of age and offers a range of activities. Here are some examples of the activities which they have taken part in over the past 4 months.

April

Group members attended a wonderful Seminar led by Nicola; ‘Christian Values Can Co-Exist within the 21st Century.’

This seminar began with an ice break game, followed by ‘Identifying the values’ in break-out groups. After, this there was a presentation in the common forum followed by an explanation of how the values can co-exist into any present day context. Following this, Nicola shared her own personal experiences to give a broader understanding.

May
Sr. Clara SSHJM spoke to our Mazenod Youth Group at a workshop on the theme of ‘THE CALL’

June
The ‘Mazenod Youth Group’ went for a nature walk to the summit of ‘Bryn Euryn Hill’ guided by Paul, Jenni and Father Vimal.

Bryn Euryn Hill is a fascinating place of local historic interest with stunning views of the North Wales Coast. Along the way, they explored the history and natural environment and how it tied into their Catholic Faith.

July
The Mazenod Youth Group (MYG) enjoyed playing badminton in the Church gardens.

If you would like to join our group or to find out more, please contact Father Vimal or contact: office@stjosephsrcc.org.uk
