Meeting of the Parish – During the recent Parish Census we mentioned a forthcoming meeting of the Parish. This is really a follow-up to the Parish Assembly held in November 2019 and will seek your views as to how, in the intervening years, the Parish has developed, how it is doing and what further pastoral and spiritual development we would like to see introduced.

The date set for the Meeting of the Parish is Sunday 14th July at 11:15 am, and will be held in the School. On that Sunday there will only be one Mass at 10am so that we all have the opportunity to attend.

Thank you to those who have returned the questionnaires which will greatly help shape the Meeting. If you hope to attend please return your attendance slips by Sunday 7th July at the latest, please.
Many thanks, The Organising Group.

Wednesday 31st July
Would you be interested in joining a St Joseph’s Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) Group?

Awareness of the global environmental crisis is widespread, emphasising the interconnectedness and interdependency involved. This crisis encompasses natural resource exploitation, climate change, power dynamics, and corporate influence, resulting in poverty and injustice on a global scale.

The Oblates and the Catholic Church have been actively addressing these issues for a long time, advocating for justice and peace through direct
assistance and policy influence. The JPIC group is dedicated to promoting responsible resource utilisation and equitable wealth distribution both locally and globally within the Catholic community.

We invite you to join us in establishing a group, devising an action plan, and initiating small but impactful steps that can authentically reflect the
Catholic response to the earth’s plea.

Meeting Dates: Wednesdays on July 31st, August 28th, September 25th, October 30th, and November 27th.
The Group is open to all so do come and join us – please contact the office on 01492 532670 or e-mail to: office@stjosephsrcc.org.uk
