The angel said to Mary, ‘You will conceive and bear a son,’ not ‘Are you willing to conceive and bear a son?’ That is how God’s will comes to us, in the things that happen to us more than in the things we choose! Nothing is impossible to God. In difficult times, it is good to remember that God is fully in charge of our world. Everything happens according to his plan. There is always hope.Our Lady is the supreme example of obedience to the will of God. The primary meaning of each day of our lives is to say with her, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord, let it be with me according to your word.”
