SVP Spread Christmas Joy

Amid the disappointment of the latest coronavirus restrictions, the SVP & St Joseph’s Community Connect today lifted spirits and brought joy to families across our community. Volunteers in festive dress delivered 15 Christmas hampers to families in need. The hampers included everything needed for a festive feast – turkeys, vegetables, mince pies, Christmas pudding, cookies and selection boxes. Alongside the goodies were some very special Christmas crackers – handmade by the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 from St Joseph’s Primary School. The youngsters had lovingly prepared the crackers in the final week of school. As well as providing each family with a Christmas dinner, the project also delivered toys for the children.

Special thanks to Koldo, Clare, Dominik, Benedict, Fr Vimal, Angela, Carol, Vin and Maureen for delivering all the hampers, and a very special thank you to all who donated to the appeal.

Remember that our food bank is open every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 10-12pm and we are always available on email: office@stjosephsrcc.org.uk – Please get in touch if you need anything.

Another note my two sisters who were born in the USA went to St. Joseph School in 1959, when our parents return to Wales. I often wondered if their was any pictures of them and we’re they first America’s 🇺🇸 to attend the school 🏫 ?
