“St. Joseph’s Community Connect”
”St. Joseph’s Community Connect” is our new Facebook group, which we want you to be a part of. It is inspired by the splendid work of the OMI in offering support services right now in Ireland in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
They have reacted with great speed and we are doing all we can to reach out to our community.
Our mission in this regard can be summed up as follows:
We want to help! If you are elderly, have a compromised immune system, or there is any other reason you don’t want to go to the supermarket, please message us and we will be more than happy to pick up anything you might need & deliver it to your doorstep….let’s all reach out to those in need.
If the school closures have you concerned about your child not being able to eat breakfast or lunch, let us know. We will do what we can to help. A box of cereal, milk, bread, etc. & we’ll leave it at your door.
Feel free to PM us via Facebook!
Father Vimal in his homily today at mass reflected on the Gospel.
Jesus reached out to all. He embraced all and those considered outcasts in his day he did not shun.
What a message for our time.
We are one community and as such we have a duty to each other.
We hold each other in prayer and we endeavour to be of service to all who need us.
