Rosary on the Coast
Where: St. Trillo’s Chapel, Marine Drive, Rhos-on-Sea, Colwyn Bay LL28 4PP
When: Sunday, 29th April 2018 at 3pm
A mass rosary will be said around the coast of Great Britain on Sunday, April 29th 2018 at 3pm. After similar events in Poland and Ireland last year, Catholics in the British Isles have been inspired to plan and take part in this gathering which will see the faithful meet at over two hundred locations around the coast of Britain to pray the rosary together. Organisers say the mass rosary aims to combat “the present threats to faith, the dignity of the human person and to peace” and encourage a “re-flourishing of our Faith”.
Pope Francis himself has given his Apostolic Blessing to those participating in the event “as a pledge under the protection of Our Blessed Lady, Mary Mother of the Church.”
Archbishop Edward Adams, apostolic nuncio to the United Kingdom, said that the Pope “presents His greetings to all those persons participating in the Rosary on the Coast for Faith, Life and Peace in Scotland, England and Wales…assuring them of His spiritual closeness to them in their prayers.”
Our Parish Knights of St Columba group are planning to lead the rosary during the event at St Trillo’s Chapel in Rhos on Sea. St Trillo’s Chapel is probably the smallest chapel in Britain and is located on the sea front at Rhos on Sea.
Check out the event on Facebook and let us know you are attending here.
