Journey with the Pope – 2/4/2020

THURSDAY, APRIL 2, 2020
“We continue to pray for people who have fallen ill in this pandemic. Today I would like to ask for a special prayer for families…I think especially of families with a disabled person among them. The welcome centers for people with disability are closed and the person stays with the family. Let us pray for families that they do not lose their peace in this moment and that they succeed in moving forward with strength and joy…We ask the Lord today for the grace of not falling into indifference, the grace that all the information we have about human suffering might penetrate our hearts and move us to do something for others. ”

Psalm 105

The Lord remembers his covenant for ever.
Look to the LORD in his strength;
seek to serve him constantly.
Recall the wondrous deeds that he has wrought,
his portents, and the judgments he has uttered.

The Lord remembers his covenant for ever.
You descendants of Abraham, his servants,
sons of Jacob, his chosen ones!
He, the LORD, is our God;
throughout the earth his judgments prevail.

The Lord remembers his covenant for ever.
He remembers forever his covenant
which he made binding for a thousand generations –
Which he entered into with Abraham
and by his oath to Isaac.

The Lord remembers his covenant for ever.
